Who we are
Bearing is a personal safety and security education company. We teach people how to stay safe in an environment they do not yet know — through structured, credentialled training rather than general advice.
Our flagship programme is UK Ready: a two-phase safety orientation for international students arriving in the UK to study. It is where we are focusing first, and more programmes will follow the same model.
Everything we deliver comes from operational experience. The people who design and run our programmes have worked in military service, UK policing, professional security, and emergency medicine. What we teach is what we have used.
Why 'Bearing'
A compass bearing is knowing your direction and knowing where you are — being prepared to navigate any environment. 'Bearing' also means composure under pressure: the ability to stay grounded when things go wrong. Both meanings are central to what we do.

⮞ Facilitators drawn from military, policing, professional security, education, and emergency medicine backgrounds.
⮞ Enhanced DBS checks on every facilitator.
⮞ A full safeguarding framework governing every delivery.
⮞ Full public liability and employers' liability insurance.
⮞ Maximum sixteen students per cohort.
